The park features a 25 column colonnaded entrance, a terraced lawn area and stage that serves as a small amphitheatre, a water fountain, brick plazas, a covered pavilion, and meandering paths with extensive landscaping. Estes Landscape designed it all and installed or supervised installation of each structure. We even commissioned the sculpture which you will see below.
Sehoy Plantation is a 30,000-acre private hunting resort in Hurtsboro, Alabama. Here we provided plans for the all the landscaping, the pool, the hardscaping and helped to design an outdoor workout room and an outdoor room.
We developed several outdoor rooms on this property, each with a different season garden, so one area would always be in bloom. We also designed and installed the patios (right down to the furniture), the fireplace, a courtyard with a hot tub, the bridge and, of course, all the landscaping.
This was a total renovation. We basically cut and removed all of the existing trees and shrubs and re-landscaped the entire yard. This client wanted the property to look mature, so we imported many fully grown American and English boxwoods. The design was kept simple, yet traditional to the era of construction of the house, which was built in the early 1900’s.
